ওয়েব ডেস্ক: জীবনের খাতায় সেঞ্চুরি হাঁকালেন ভারতরত্ন লালকৃষ্ণ আদবানি। আজ তাঁর ১০০ তম জন্মদিন। ১৯২৭ সালের এই দিনে তৎকালীন অবিভক্ত ভারতের করাচির এক সিন্ধি হিন্দু লোহানা পরিবারে জন্ম হয় দেশের প্রাক্তন উপ প্রধানমন্ত্রীর। তার পর থেকে কেটে গিয়েছে একটা শতাব্দী। আর আদবানির এই বিশেষ দিনে শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়েছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি, পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শুভেন্দু অধিকারী সহ একাধিক নেতা।
প্রধানমন্ত্রী এদিন তাঁর একটি লেখায় তুলে ধরেছেন স্মৃতিদের কথা। সেখানে আদবানির রাজনৈতিক জীবনের পাশাপাশি সংস্কৃতি ও সিনেমার প্রতি তাঁর ভালোবাসার কথাও রয়েছে। শুভেচ্ছাবার্তায় মোদি লিখেছেন, ৮ নভেম্বর একটি ল্যান্ডমার্ক দিন, কারণ শ্রদ্ধেয় আদবানিজি ১০০ বছরে পা দিলেন।
Today, 8th November, is a landmark day. Respected L.K. Advani Ji enters his hundredth year. On this special occasion, my greetings to him.
I’ve written an article in which I’ve highlighted his everlasting contribution to India.
I have recalled his journey, be it experiencing the horrors of Partition and rebuilding life from scratch, strengthening the Jana Sangh and building the BJP, standing up for democracy during the Emergency, leading the Somnath to Ayodhya Rath Yatra or serving the nation in government.
Have also written about other aspects of Advani Ji – the voracious reader, his love for culture and cinema, a prolific writer and more.

এদিন বিজেপি সদর দপ্তরেও বিশেষ আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। সেখানে পুজো ও হোম-যজ্ঞ হবে। আদবানির কন্যা প্রতিভার উপস্থিত থাকার কথা। এ ছাড়া তাঁর রাজনৈতিক পথচলা নিয়ে আলোচনাচক্র হবে, যেখানে ভাষণ দেবেন দলের শীর্ষ নেতারা। দেখানো হবে একটি তথ্যচিত্রও।
করাচিতে বেড়ে ওঠা আদবানির প্রাথমিক পড়াশোনা সেন্ট প্যাট্রিক্স স্কুলে। পরে সিন্ধের হায়দরাবাদের ডিজি ন্যাশনাল কলেজে পড়েন। দেশভাগের সময় তিনি মুম্বইয়ে চলে আসেন এবং আইনজীবী হিসেবে নিজেকে প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন। ১৯৪১ সালে আরএসএসে যোগ দেন তিনি। পরে শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখোপাধ্যায়ের আদর্শে ভারতীয় জনসংঘে যোগ দেন। অটল বিহারী বাজপেয়ীর সঙ্গে বিজেপির জন্মলগ্ন থেকে দলকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে গিয়েছেন তিনি। পরবর্তীকালে কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রী ও উপ প্রধানমন্ত্রীর দায়িত্বও সামলেছেন।
